This painting was inspired by a visit to the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden where the artist found herself surrounded by orchids and an even richer variety of leaves and plants. The leaves shimmer with color and texture as if brushed by a divine hand providing a lush, vibrant setting for the delicate orchids.

Within the petals the artist imagined tiny faces, fairies from a forgotten storybook, each bloom alive with character and mystery. Nature in all its complexity and beauty becomes a living parable, stirring both imagination and soul.

This abstract painting reflects the seven days of creation as described in the Torah. Through gentle curved lines and harmonious layers of color, it represents the divine energy that brought forth light from darkness, sky from waters, and land and life in their sacred order.

Each flowing curve illustrates the unfolding of Hashem’s creation with intentionality and holiness. The work also recalls the teaching from the Mishna in Pirkei Avot that the world is constantly renewed, created anew by Hashem’s will at every moment.

Creation’s Flow invites the viewer to witness the ongoing act of creation and the continuous presence of the Divine in the world around us.
